Sometimes, I find nature’s beautiful flowers, especially roses, more captivating when depicted in still life than in reality. If depicted in artistic forms to perfection as illustrated in this painting, they are even more mesmerizing and pleasing to the eyes. The feeling of excitement I felt to own such a masterpiece has remained, and now overwhelms me every time I glance at this work of art I named “Bucket of Roses” because it was and still is love at first sight.
There are roses that have fully blossomed and others such as the buds still yet to bloom, each radiant red pedal folds out of another and forms freshly picked roses in a vase that appears to come to life. The wonderful contrasting colors of red, green, and yellow from light to dark, gives out just the right touch of entrancing beauty, an art that is simply picturesque.
My attraction for roses has nothing to do with romance and more to do with their beauty. They are as enchanting as sunrises and sunsets and awaken within me beautiful thoughts and feelings. I like them in variety of colors but red, pink, and white roses are my favorites. After I spotted this artsy piece at a Super Goodwill, I literally leaped with joy, clinched it closely until it was purchase for only eight dollars. A close-up view confirms a flawless original oil painting on canvas by Russell Remaley Jr.
